Another trip to the local junk yard

Finding cars in a junk yard older than the mid 1980s is rare these days. Occasionally, a classic finds its way to the aisles of the local you pull it yard here in Memphis. I happened upon this 5th generation AMC Ambassador on my last trip. The Ambassador was a mid sized car manufactured by American Motors Corporation from 1958-1974. This particular example was powered by the 327 V8 backed by a 3 speed automatic transmission. Also evident were the power disc brakes and air conditioning.
